Hope by NF

“Hope” by NF is his sixth album from NF Real music label. I love this rapper not only cause he doesn’t curse in his music but he is also Christian and talks about real issues and pain in his music. In past albums, he has talked about the pain of losing his mother to drugs. Also, the constant presence and pressure that comes from fame. He always donned all-black clothes wearing persona in this album he dons an all-white persona that fits with the album of “Hope”. The album starts with the title track which represents him wanting to show a different side of himself which is putting hope into things he wants to succeed in. “Motto” is my favorite song on the album which talks about how he could write songs that he knows would do good but he wants to make songs that he enjoys making. The reason why I think NF is a successful rapper is how authentic of a person not only as a rapper he is. Like “careful” he doesn’t make songs just to make them. Every song has an underlying meaning which makes people gravitate to it. “Mama” is about him wondering how his mom is doing in the afterlife and is the most emotional song on the record for me. “Happy” feels like a song that anyone of faith has thought of at one point or another and feels like he is having a conversation with him. About not praying to him enough and being thankful for everything in his life. “Pandemonium” talks about how certain people are jealous or focus too much on how he has gotten to where he is now. The rest of the songs go from anything from telling someone close to him that no matter what he will protect them more than likely an ex. From realizing that a marriage doesn’t always work out. Altogether as a whole, I love how positive he has left with this album and I’m intrigued by where else he goes after this.
