Take Me Back to Eden by Sleep Token

Sleep Token’s “Take Me Back to Eden” is from Spinefarm/Silent Room Recordings. Is also the third full release from the band. I randomly watched a reaction video of “The Summoning” and was so surprised by it because I heard of the band before through other people yet didn’t get around to listening to them but damn this song hits hard. It blends so many genres that it surprised me. Mostly because of the chunky breakdowns and jazzy interlude at the end so I just had to listen to more. “Chokehold” and “Aqua Regia” were next and I noticed that this is what they are known for and just has more polish than their past albums. This album is I keep listening to this because it seems like they released a lot of their heavier songs before the album released with songs like “Granite” but then the rest of the album is comprised of ballads like “DYWTYLM” and “ Are you Really Okay?”. Some people might not like this one as much as their other albums but it makes me want to hear the other albums since and I feel it’s one of my favorites of the year. My rating is…
